Your child's Brain Health and Screen Time

We all know that "screen time" is a bad thing for our children's growing brains. But it's a much deeper issue than a simple addiction.

Addiction to anything is already bad enough, but the negative effects of screen time are far more reaching and subversive. Let's start with all the bad news, starting with the most obvious points, leading to the lesser known facts:

Screen time and "tech ed" lead to...

~ decreased attention span
~ increased rapid jumping
~ increased anxiety levels
~ inability to use logic
~ decreased ability to remember facts, figures, formulas
~ decrease in language development (vocabulary, comprehension, expression)
~ decrease in cognition
~ damages executive function
~ creates blocks to absorption and learning in general
~ specifically harms comprehension in all literacy

That's all pretty awful, right?
Here's the GOOD NEWS:

Learning a new language with no screens involved can:

~ improve memory function
~ increase cognition
~ repair audial or visual processing disorders
~ support speech, communication, and cognitive-linguistic skills
~ create quicker cognition and retrieval
~ help with comprehension in BOTH languages
~ create better habits for listening comprehension
~ increase attention span
~ eliminate road blocks to absorption in general
~ generate a framework for grammar comparison and understanding

You CAN undo some of the damage, starting today. If you're wondering why our method works so well, you can read more about it here, in the Flashcard Dissection Article.
