What a Friend we Have in Jesus

It is well with my soul. - I don't typically recommend translation exercises, but I think this one helps students to realize that Spanish is NOT English with Spanish vocab.... Maybe add that to a Form 4 student's assignment this weeK!

SPANISH: Estoy bien
De paz inundada mi senda ya esté
O cúbrala un mar de aflicción,
cualquiera que sea mi suerte, diré:
Estoy bien, tengo paz, gloria a Dios!

Estoy bien (estoy bien)
gloria a Dios (gloria a Dios)
Tengo paz en mi ser, gloria a Dios

Ya venga la prueba o me tiente Satán,
No amengua mi fe ni mi amor;
Pues Cristo comprende mis luchas, mi afán
Y su sangre obrará en mi favor

Oh cuanto me gozo en Su salvación
Fue pleno Su amor y perdón
Clavó mi pecar en la cruz lo olvidó
Gloria a Dios! Gloria al Hijo de Dios!

La fe tornaráse en feliz realidad
Al irse la niebla veloz,
Desciende Jesús con su gran Majestad,
¡Aleluya! Estoy bien con mi Dios

A little more modern praise song:

En el medio del dolor

Other Upbeat, Clean Songs: (Many found in the Spanish Geniuses Level 3 Curriculum!)

Volaré

Happy Birthday, Christian Version

Que los cumplas feliz (May you have a happy bday)
Que los cumplas feliz
que el Señor te bendiga (May the Lord bless you)
y la paz llega a ti (and peace come to you.)

"Basically Bilingual" - but still needing direction on homeschooling your children in both languages? One of my favorite sources is Niños and Nature.
